That was beautiful. I definitely choked up a bit. Next week will mark 7 years since I lost my mom. Needless to say it's always a tough day but being surrounded by love and support from my father, brother and the rest of my family helps me through it. And I know you have so much support behind you too and I'm proud to be among that number of people who support you. Take care of yourself Tammy. All my best.

This great hearing from these guys. I regret I never saw Mary Martin on stage in Peter Pan but I watched both of the original live telecasts and was thrilled when the final video production was broadcast. In those days repeats of spectaculars were not common. Most big specials were "one and done" like Cinderella with Julie Andrews, Aladdin with Cyril Richard and Annie Get Your Gun with Mary Martin though all of those have landed on RUclips but in their day there were never scheduled repeats. Later on I saw both Sandy Duncan (excellent!) and then Cathy Rigby (very good). There is a current national tour I saw last week here in Boston and my verdict is that it is at the level of a very good college production. It's been re-written to some degree and the cast is entirely very young people with Peter played by a very committed 18 year old boy! My short review is: I appreciated the enthusiasm of the young cast but they just can't project the complexity of the characters. And, sadly the flying was not at the level of Sandy Duncan or Cathy Rigby who both flew out into the audience repeatedly at curtain call. Neither the height nor the velocity in flight of "I'm flying" could match them and when the window blew open and they took flight to Never Never Land it was against some very impressive animation but it was animation not the real thing. I would say if you've never seen it live it's ok but I was not thrilled and I'm sure neither Edmund or Bennedict would not approve and I struggled with it. PS I wish I had seen Betsy Palmer. She did a lot of Mary Martin roles and I bet she was great.

Did Ali B. Olmo sing songs for a PBS show called The American Frontier, co-hosted by Merlin Olsen and Charlie Jones circa 1983? (Each episode was 10-15 minutes and discussed a different aspect of the old west.) I remember watching that show, and in the ensuing year heard Two Brothers at both Epcot and Disneyland's Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and was sure it was the same singer. However, I don't see her name associated with American Frontier in IMDb.

I really enjoyed that. Dave had a lot of enthusiastic energy and sounds like a lovely who truly loves his job. His passion for song writing really comes through here and with all the advice he gave to everyone. I hope you guys get to collaborate someday maybe on your next album. I think you guys would make a great team. Anyway I think that's it for now but knowing me I've forgotten some stuff. Looking forward to the next interview.

When the VHS/Beta Tape came out they CUT "Candle on the Water" from the movie. Even through I was in my 20's, I started a campaign to get it put back in. I remember it was nominated for an Oscar and Academy Award Officials wouldn't let Helen sing it because he wasn't a big enough star. And I got even angrier. When I was 9-years-old I carried petitions to keep Star Trek on the air when NBC threatened to cancel the show. Wishing all the best Sean, "Live long and prosper, pal!"

That was a lovely interview and a great start to the new year. It's always nice to see a cast and crew that were there for each other always and felt like a real family. Every time someone spoke about a person that had passed that worked on the show I felt for them because it was still leaving an impact on them all these years later. I know you're probably feeling something similar with your own loss of your mom I still feel it with the loss of mine nearly 7 years I think this reunion was a way for everyone to heal and remember those we love and spread love and joy. Because that also is what this show clearly did for a lot of people. I didn't grow up in a Barbie household my only real exposure I've said before was through Toy Story so I'm still surprised anytime I learn something new about it and how Mattel really took a show like this seriously but also them making sure Disney did the same. I didn't realise Barbie had lore and continuity experts working on it like they do with Star Wars or Marvel but it's important to represent the character and property right and this show has done that for a lot of people it seems and again I enjoyed learning about it. I know it was a tough year for you so starting the year off with something so personal and meaningful for you was the best way to start the new year that hopefully will be a better one for you. May you continue to spread the magic and joy that you always do with your shows and being the kind person you are. All my best to you Tammy and your family and once again my condolences on your loss. I know your mom would have loved watching this and the tribute at the end was heart warming and got to me emotionally. RIP Pam.
